This will be a two-day Spinning Babies® workshop for doulas, childbirth educators, midwives, nurses, obstetricians, chiropractors, pelvic floor therapists, physical therapists and other body workers who work with birthing families during the perinatal period.

We can improve comfort in pregnancy and ease in labor by using the Spinning Babies® approach. The techniques taught in the workshop offer a complete system of birth preparation that focuses on a deeper understanding of the individual anatomy and physiology that is impacting the baby’s space and journey through birth.

There will be time to explore and practice how to help your clients integrate the Spinning Babies® approach into their daily prenatal practice. We will also go into depth on how to better understand and support your clients during the labor and birth process.

This is a required course for those wanting to take the Spinning Babies® advanced workshops: Spinning Babies® Parent Educator Training or Spinning Babies® Aware Practitioner Training.

This 6-day training will give doulas-in-training a comprehensive birth doula training. The training integrates DONA International’s required Introduction to Childbirth Education for Doulas. There will be enough time to ask questions, practice new skills, and understand different doula care business models. We will explore how doulas collaborate and engage with the entire birthing family, their medical providers, available community resources, and providers and staff in the birth place settings.

A special focus is given to how to recognize what situations lead to birth inequities and how doulas can promote and support reproductive justice.

My hope is that completing this course gives new doulas the confidence needed to get started as a birth doula.

Cost for this 6-day training is $1000.00
